25 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Love The World (Next 5)

Sunday 26th September 2021

The 5 Big Black GIFs above? No I didn't delete them. I just moved them.

What's up?

Good news. I've finished working for the year! I'm so so happy with this. I officially finished working on a Friday, which is one of the best days to finish it.

So I started working in April, but it was mainly a zero hour contract. I would only work when I got called to do so, and it was pretty frustrating for me because I wasn't really in the same place.

Then I worked at a nursery from May-July and a factory from July- the Friday that just went.

But this isn't about my 2021 work history, this is about me finishing!!

Without further ado, let me continue this thing.

#11 Because its wisdom is foolishness.—1 Corinthians 1:20.

Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where are the great thinkers of our time? Hasn’t God made the wisdom of the world foolish? 1 Corinthians 1:20

Loving the world is foolish as this verse says it is, but don't get me wrong.

I'm not saying if you love the world you are foolish. I'm just saying loving it is foolish.

It's like making a mistake. Making a mistake doesn't make you any less intelligent. It happens to everyone. Nobody is perfect. So just be unapologetically you.

Let me quickly talk about no one being perfect for a second.

This is a good thing.

If everything in life was perfect, and everyone, then we would be living in a pretty tedious world, and I'm sure you don't want that.

I mentioned earlier that I worked in a nursery this year from May to July. I can't mention the nursery's name for security reasons I'm sorry, but I do know it was from May 5th to July 15th.

Each baby I worked with was different. If they were all the same, then being with them would be boring. I mean, yes they would be well behaved because they would be perfect, but even then, I would be bored.

Living in a perfect world is like living a life with no difficulty.

Everything good happens to you naturally so you wouldn't really have to work for anything and where is the fun is that?

There is a quote I know that says if life was easy, where would all the adventures be? and it's so true! Everything disastrous that happens to us happens for a reason.

I just finished working. I didn't really like the job I just finished but I liked the nursery one.

Even though I didn't like the job I just left, the money was good and I do have to admit that I learnt a lot of useful things from there.

Either way, this world is imperfect and it always will be.

Maybe if Adam and Eve didn't sin then the world would be a better place, though despite that there's no guarantee.

Before I finish, I watched this video today that said we are trying so hard to be someone else, or live someone else's life. This is due to social media, but you've got to understand that everyone's journey is different.

What's for you will come to you at the right time. However, if something is not for you, it may never be. But don't quote me on that.

Just because something is for someone doesn't mean it's for you I'm afraid. You can read my This Is Your Life post on how you should follow your destiny and no one else's.

#12 Because its wisdom is ignorance.—1 Corinthians 1:21.

God wisely planned that the world would not know him through its own wisdom. It pleased God to use the foolish things we preach to save those who believe. 1 Corinthians 1:21

I think what this verse is trying to say, and I had to stop writing for a while just to try and make sense of it, is that wisdom from God and wisdom from the World are two completely different things.

Inevitably, we all know what wisdom is, but let me use the definition from Google.

The quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement; the quality of being wise.

This is the Google definition of wisdom. Here is the Biblical version of it.

“Knowledge, and the capacity to make due use of it.”

Or what it fully said...

There is a story in the Bible that speaks of Solomon, a young man who, after God offered him anything his heart desired, he requested wisdom. ... The Webster's Unabridged Dictionary defines wisdom as “knowledge, and the capacity to make due use of it.”

Don't love the world too much so that you're not moved by the things that move other people.

And I actually have a good example.

So basically, I deleted Instagram and Snapchat a few years' back. I'm not against those that use it, of course not, but for me personally, I just didn't really need it. I could live without it.

But let me use a wider example - some people genuinely don't have social media.

If they were to tell someone that, the other person would probably think they're crazy, and for what reason?

Because they think it's unwise not to have social media.

Loads of people thrive without social media. They're probably even happier than those that have it as they don't have to put their lives on a pedestal, or act as if it's "flawless" when it's really not.

With the world, not having social media seems unwise and having it seems wise.

God doesn't focus on social media. For God, following him is wise and not following him is unwise because you're essentially setting yourself up for destruction.

Long story short, the world and God have different definitions of the word wisdom. The world's wisdom is mainly on trivial things (not all the time though) and God's is on more important things instead.

You can have wisdom but if you're not really doing anything with it then are you really wise?

Seek wisdom, for the right reason. Not to outsmart or show off with it, but to help people and build them up instead.

The Bible says in Proverbs 4:6-7, "Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding." All of us can use a guardian angel to watch over us.

#13 Because Christ does not belong to it.—John 8:23.

But Jesus said, “You are from below. I am from heaven. You are from this world. I am not from this world."

I know Jesus Christ had visited the world for some time, but even then it was temporarily and he didn't belong to it in the first place.

The word Christian means Christ like - not just that but Matthew 5:48 says be ye perfect, as your Heavenly father is perfect.

We can't be perfect as that's not possible, but you can try to be on your best behaviour at all times.

I was going to say as much times as you can but saying at all times seems better.

So because Jesus doesn't belong to the world, we shouldn't either!

#14 Because it is condemned.—1 Corinthians 11:32.

I have a lot to say on this but my laptop battery is dying and I don't want to charge it and use it. I just got the battery fixed.

So it's kind of risky.

When the Lord judges us in this way, he corrects us. Then in the end we will not be judged along with the rest of the world. That's what 1 Corinthians 11:32 says.

There's a Gospel song I know and I just listened to called My Life by The Walls Group.

The chorus says...

Just let me live my life, ah
You ain't give me my life, nah
You can't tell me what's right, ah

You ain't lay down (You ain't lay down)
You ain't lay down (You ain't lay down)
You ain't lay...
He made me great so let me be great

I love this song, one of my favourite gospel songs. Anyway, I just wanted to focus on this specific lyric:

You ain't give me my life
You can't tell me what's right

The world didn't give you your life, nor did it tell you what is right. Only God can do that.

Don't depend on the world to give you your happiness because life does not consist of the abundance of things you possess - Luke 12 vs 15.

Also, have you ever heard of the phrase here today, gone tomorrow?

It is true. I feel like I've mentioned this before however I can't remember where. Either way, what is trending today could be completely non-existent or a has been tomorrow.

What's liked today could be hated tomorrow. So focus on God, and turn to him today.

Another song I know has these lyrics:

For all we know we might not get tomorrow
Let's do it tonight

I don't listen to this song and it's not Gospel. But it's still important.

So don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today. When you're reading this, don't think:

No. I'm still going to put things off until tomorrow anyway.

Instead think:

Yes. That's right. I will stop putting things off until tomorrow, especially when I can do them today.

Last but certainly not least!

#15 Because the fashion of it passeth away.—1 Corinthians 7:31 .
Those who use the things of the world should not become all wrapped up in them. The world as it now exists is passing away.

This is basically what I just said before, but now I just made up a rhyme to it.

The world we're living in is not permanent.

So act like one day you're going to be sent

To Heaven.

Whether you're 50, 60, 77

80, 90 maybe even 111.

We all have an appointed time to leave.

This world is temporary so don't be deceived.

God knows what's best so whatever may come your way

Just take it to the Lord and pray!

Ecclesiastes 3:1

For everything there is a time and season

Everything happens for a reason

So therefore live your best life

Give people happiness, not strife

Give them pleasure, and never treason

That just came to me, I didn't plan that at all.

But before I close, let me just mention something a pastor said.

I forgot what happened, but I think they were diagnosed with COVID just before January 2021. They fell into some sort of coma and they went to Heaven.

God sent them back though - because it was not their time to die.

Unfortunately, like my impromptu rhyme said, one day it will be our time to die, just not soon in Jesus name.

I don't know the pastor's name and even if I did, I wouldn't reveal it for security reasons. I don't reveal anyone's name in my personal life.

That's everything for today. See you later!! xx

I've barely added any GIFs in this so here is a goodbye dance.

The legendary Aaliyah, gone too soon!!

Have a good day / night, depending on when you were reading this!

Till next time, Lola xoxo

25 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Love The World (Next 5)

 Saturday 18th September 2021

Hello my lovelies!

I am so so sorry for the inactivity. It wasn't deliberate, trust me.

I hope you are well. I haven't started university yet, I start in October but I know most of you will. Best of luck with that.

I was halfway through writing this until I had stopped to watch Strictly Come Dancing. I'm just going to continue it now, I don't like leaving things half finished.

You may be wondering why I've taken so long? Even if you haven't, let me still explain myself.

I believe you guys deserve some sort of explanation on my absence right now.

Long story short, I sent my laptop out for repair. I've mentioned like twice on here before that my laptop battery is bad and it still is because the repair wasn't successful! I don't want to go into it but I'm setting it up for another repair on Monday.

I didn't want to post today (I've been procrastinating heavily on a lot of things hahaha) but then I remembered that I would barely have had the time to do so tomorrow due to church.

And why put off until tomorrow what you can do today?

My laptop repair may have been unsuccessful, but on the plus side I got a new phone today!

Anyway, I hope you have been well these past couple of weeks.

It's amazing how I can leave this website unattended for a month (not on purpose) and you guys will still be there. I love that.

In my last post, and I won't be surprised if you don't remember it, after all, it has been a while, I talked about why you shouldn't love the world.

In this post, I am going to continue it. There are 25 reasons why you shouldn't love the world, and I'm splitting it into 5.

Here are the next 5.

#6 Because Christ did not pray for it.—John 17:9

I always make reference to the scripture used, aka John 17:9, which says...

I pray for them. I am not praying for the world. I am praying for those you have given me, because they are yours.

I learnt last week in physical church that Christ actually answers all prayers, he might just not answer them in the way we want them to be answered.

Or he may answer them for a while but then after a while they're not answered anymore.

For example, you might want to be with someone

And it happens... for about two months then you see their true colours, which aren't nice.

Yes, Christ can do that. Just because he answers a prayer doesn't mean that the prayer is always going to be answered for a long time.

The good thing about God, and I have actually witnessed this myself is that he answers prayers you wouldn't think is according to his will but it is.

Sometimes I pray to God to be friends with specific people. Thankfully, the prayers have come true because it is according to his will, and I'm still friends with them today.

But I may have lost a few friends that I prayed to be friends with along the way. I mean, I haven't and I pray I don't.

Unfortunately for me, it may happen. I just pray it doesn't. I love each and every single one of my friends equally.

I always used to wonder how can you tell if God is saying wait to a prayer and if God is saying no?

The God answering all prayers, maybe not in the way we want them to but he still does so regardless point I just mentioned was actually the answer to that.

I think this website says it better than I do though.

Excerpt from When God says No or Wait

In what ways does God answer prayers?

Bill Hybel once said, “If the request is wrong, God says ‘No.’ If the timing is wrong, God says ‘Slow.’ If you are wrong, God says ‘Grow.’ But if the request is right and the timing is right and you are right, God says ‘Go.’”

This quote may be simplistic and it does invite much deeper theological exposition, but at its core, there are several answers that depend on what we are asking for, the internal condition of our hearts, and the divine will of God. Let’s look at each of these.

First, we should look at what we are asking for. We may think that we are destined to own a certain thing, or to get a certain job, or to be secure in a given relationship.

But is the thing we ask God for right for us – meaning, will it honour God? If we want a job just so we can earn more money, that may not be the right reason to take it; or a new relationship may pull you further away from God. Such requests are not ones that God would fulfill.

Next, we should look at the condition of our hearts.

If we are asking for something from purely selfish or even sinful desires, or when we ask for things that are clearly outside what God wants for us, that is obvious ground for God denying our request. Even if we do ask for good things but we just want God to give them to us out of a sense of entitlement, this too is a wrong motivation.

Finally, we should consider the divine will of God and His timing. God is working all things for our good (Romans 8:28), which means that He is actively and lovingly orchestrating eight billion people and a host of other elements to accomplish His purposes in this world.

There is no guarantee that what we ask for will benefit us in the long run, or would serve to bring us closer to God if we got it.

Again, this only scratches the surface behind why God answers or seems to not answer prayer.

No one can fully understand the heart and mind of God; Isaiah 55:8-9 says, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

This should merely serve as a launching point for a much deeper exposition – one that can be pursued most effectively, in the most beautiful irony, by prayer.

This website is basically saying that if you ask God for the right thing with the right intentions but it's not the right time then God will say wait.

If it's not for the right reasons then God will say no.

If it's for the right reasons but it will harm you, God will say no too.

From time to time God wants to give you something, you're just not mature enough or ready for it yet. I feel like that's the case with me and a lot of things.

The website I just used mentioned a very important scripture, and it is John 14:13, which says, “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."
Some people assume that this means that Jesus will always grant our requests. But this is not the case.
You can read my Commonly Misunderstood Bible Verses for Bible Verses that are more often than not read out of context. I think this is sadly one of them.
#7 Because Christ’s people do not belong to it.—John 17:16.
John 17:16 They do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to it.
Even though we are in the world, we do not belong to it.
And even though God has more or less got the whole world in his hands, he does not belong to it either.

Literally, he doesn't live in the world. He lives in Heaven instead.
There was a Gospel song I was  listening to when I was on this point that had lyrics which coincidentally links to what I'm talking about right now.

So yes, try and do without loving the world.
Doing without something doesn't necessarily mean that you don't care about it.
You just may not need it in your life right now because it's not benefitting you in one way or the other. I don't know why something might not benefit you but you do.
For example, because I really couldn't think of anything else, I'm going to be using the example of social media.
Every now and then, I can do without social media, as in I may take a break from it, not because I don't care about it.
Actually, I don't but I care about the people there.
But I may decide to take an hiatus from it simply because it doesn't make me feel good about myself.
I avoid social media when I'm sick or I've had a bad day because it won't make me feel better, just worse.
What you see online isn't always real - for example just because someone is smiling all the time on there doesn't necessarily mean that they are happy. You can have a little and be happier than someone who has more than you.
Bigger isn't always better basically.
After all, life is not based on the abundance of things you possess which you can find in Luke 12:15b.
Doesn't actually say that word for word but it's something along those lines anyway.
If you can go on social media and not feel bad about yourself after a while then I wonder how you do it. I don't really use much but I know my limits there.
#8 Because it will not receive the Spirit.—John 14:27.
I leave my peace with you. I give my peace to you. I do not give it to you as the world does. Do not let your hearts be troubled. And do not be afraid.

God expects peace from us because he gives peace to us.

You guys always know how I say that only Jesus can make you satisfied and nobody else or nothing else really can?

That's what God is saying here too, right now.

God doesn't give you peace like the world does, because he gives you peace better than the world does instead.

There's a song on my gospel playlist called Crossroads by Deitrick Haddon.

The lyrics include but is inevitably not limited to:

Be The Things You Gave The World
All The Benjamins And Girls
Thought You Had Everything In Your Hands
But What About The Master's Plan

For The Fortune And Fame
You Gave Up Your Faith
Now Was It Worth The Sacrifice
For You To Lose Your Life

The website I got the lyrics from, all the words were already capitalised and I'm not changing it.

I'm sure we are all familiar with Matthew 16:25 which says For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.

That's basically what the aforementioned song lyrics are saying.

You could have everything in the world but you could still be unhappy, and I don't wish that for anyone.

Therefore don't envy anyone - those that may have it all may really have nothing at all.

Stop wishing to be someone else. You don't know who's looking at your life wishing they had yours.

When I wish to be someone else, and I have wished that, mainly when I'm in a situation I don't want to be in. I have to stop and think about what I have that they don't or may wish to have.

For example, I love playing the piano! I hardly use it but it's still my inanimate best friend. I always say that. I can't live without it.

I have a lot of hobbies but I know playing the piano is a talent. Maybe my only talent for now. Would I really want that talent to be taken away from me by being someone else?

No, I don't.

Even this website. I don't know who but someone could be out there wishing they wrote this website or could start their own. They just may not know how to and that's okay. I could be bad at things someone else is good at.

That's why you have to be grateful for what you have. Some people are out there wishing for the things you take for granted*.

You might think but who would wish to be me? and I've actually thought to myself that a lot of times, but you'd be surprised.

*I'm not saying I take this website for granted by the way. I think about it all the time; and if I leave for a long time, it's normally unintentional anyway.

Just know that everyone's strengths and weaknesses are all different.

#9 Because its Prince is Satan.—John 13:31; 16:11.
After Judas was gone, Jesus spoke. He said, “Now the Son of Man receives glory. And he brings glory to God." John 13:31

The world is guilty as far as judgment is concerned. That’s because the devil, the prince of this world, has already been judged. John 16:11

I think what God is saying in the last verse is the fact that the  things of world comes from the devil.

You're probably thinking but God created the world so how can things of the world come from the devil?

Yes - and I meant loving the world comes from the devil. Because if you love the world, you'd most likely sin a few times to get what you want in the world.

Galatian 5:17 says For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

Let me use the example of getting rich quick.

Loving money is loving a material thing, aka loving the world.

Unless you work hard, I can't really think of getting rich quick successfully without using illegitimate ways. I'm talking gambling, stealing, fraud, crime etc.

And that's what the devil wants you to do, but don't because the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of Christ is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).

Last but not least...

#10 Because Christ’s kingdom is not of it.—John 18:36.
Jesus said, “My kingdom is not from this world. If it were, those who serve me would fight. They would try to keep the Jewish leaders from arresting me. My kingdom is from another place.”

I'll probably make this longer later, but for now I was pretty tired when I posted this.

I know it's hard to believe but let me tell you something you probably already know.

And I don't mean it to scare you, more so a wake up call.

This Earth you are living in right now isn't permanent.

(So I started watching The Cosby Show from the late 80s/early 90s. Love love love it.
I know it's super old but I'm a huge 90s fan!! ۞🤩🤩)

Who would have thought?

Nah, I'm just playing. That's why you've got to live each day to your fullest.

I know life seems permanent, but there's a difference between something seeming one way and actually being.

For example, I read the news recently about the royal family. I think it said that Prince Phillip's will won't be revealed for another 90 years or something like that.

And I was thinking what's the point? Everyone alive right now will be dead, or if not then really old.

I'll admit when someone dies, I get scared. Whether I knew them when they were still alive or not. Death is my biggest fear, but not death itself, more so how I'm going to die.

When I vehemently pray to God that I don't want me, my friends or my family members to die anytime soon, God laughs and tells me don't worry, you, your friends  and your family have got a long way to go.

Here's something crazy about me: I'm currently 19 but I keep thinking about what life will be like in my 70s!

I'm not even joking: I thought to myself earlier today when I'm 70, I will dress like I'm 40.

Most of my thoughts start off with when I'm 70, I'll do this or that...

I can't wait until I'm 70!

Maybe it's because 7 is one of my favourite numbers. Or I just excessively think about the future sometimes and forget about the present. This is relatively a flaw I need to work on.

This is insane. I'm skipping my 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s. But I'm seeing it as the fact that God will allow me to see my 70s and beyond too amen. I wish longevity for you guys as well.

Longevity with meaning because as I always like to say:

If you're not doing anything with your life then it doesn't matter how long it is.

That's it for today! I'm sorry this is late - literally. I published this at 1AM.

If I hadn't been interrupted it would have been out late Saturday, but it's out now and that's all that matters.

Here is a goodbye dance.

25 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Love The World (First 5)

 Saturday 4th September 2021

Hey and happy Saturday!

[Clueless - one of my favourite movies from the 90s]

I resume work tomorrow and anytime I have 4 days off, or 3, I always forget I'm working.

If you can remember, my last post was all about not loving the world.

We know that we are not supposed to love the world, but we may not know why. I have twenty five reasons why.

Twenty of them were from this website: Don't Love The World - 20 Reasons Why

But it only mentioned the Scriptures and the point. I'm going to elaborate on them as well as mention the Scriptures too.

The last five were from this: Do Not Love The World

There was no way I could think of 25 reasons of why you shouldn't love the world myself. Maybe only about 7 reasons, but the remaining 18 would have been hard for me.

So let's begin.

I'm splitting this post up into five because if I didn't then it would be pretty long. This isn't the only thing I'm updating today. I want to also update the Underrated Bible Scriptures - Part 5 page again.

I had to change how many reasons I wanted to do in a post so many times. But I've agreed on 5, plus there are 5 reasons for 5 posts.

#1 Because the gain of it is the loss of the soul.—Matthew 16:25.

Matthew 16:25 Whoever wants to save their life will lose it. But whoever loses their life for me will find it.

A lot of people die because God is finished with them, right?

Or God forbid but they've decided to end their life themselves. This is unfortunately a one way ticket to Hell. Even if your life is literally Hell on Earth (as in you're going through the worst ever time), try your best to survive and get through it.

Your body is a temple of God - you can find this in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?
20 You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

The context of this astounding assertion pertains to the avoidance of sexual immorality.

Not just that but it can link to a lot of other things as well. Just don't do anything to harm your body.  I don't want to mention them but hopefully you already know what I'm clandestinely talking about.

On to why others die... some people die because they've loved their lives too much.

They've loved their lives too much that they're going to suffer a lot in the future due to them sinning so much (Romans 6:23).

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

To avoid the suffering, God decides to just end their life. It's better that way knowing that they're going to die anyway due to their suffering. You understand where I'm coming from?

I'm not saying that you can't enjoy the pleasures of life. You can - but life is more than these things, including but not limited to...

I genuinely didn't plan to use On My Block GIFs. I only planned to use 1, then I found four other relevant ones.

Doing the wrong things. Worst case scenario you get yourself arrested, but I trust you guys well enough to avoid jail in general.

Doing things for Instagram or social media.

I'm not saying that it's wrong for you to use social media. But so many people would do anything to be famous on there, even illegitimate things. Don't be like them.

No amount of followers or likes or retweets etc will make you happy because as I always like to say... only Jesus can make you satisfied.

Or on YouTube, videos have a specific title so as to attract people, no matter how wrong it is. This is called click-baiting.

I've seen so many wrong things there that I don't even want to get into it.

Getting drunk, getting wasted etc

If someone offers you alcohol, just don't drink it.

What if I only drink a little bit? You might ask.

The problem is, if you only drink a little bit, it can turn into a lot. Besides, even drinking a little bit can hurt you.

I'm not going to mention side effects to alcohol, however I will mention a Biblical Scripture about it.

Saying 19 from the 30 Wise Sayings in Proverbs.

You can find this in Proverbs 23:29-35

Who has trouble? Who has sorrow?
    Who argues? Who has problems?
Who has wounds for no reason? Who has red eyes?

30
Those who spend too much time with wine.
Or those who like to taste wine mixed with spices.

31
Don’t look at wine when it is red.
Don’t look at it when it bubbles in the cup.
And don’t look at it when it goes down smoothly.

32
In the end it bites like a snake.
It bites like a poisonous serpent.

33
Your eyes will see strange sights.
Your mind will imagine weird things.

34
You will feel like someone sleeping on the ocean.
You will think you are lying among the ropes in a boat.

35
“They hit me,” you will say. “But I’m not hurt!
They beat me. But I don’t feel it!
When will I wake up
so I can find another drink?”

I know it's about wine but it could also indirectly link to alcohol as well.

Essentially, what these verses are saying is that wine and alcohol can do haywire things to you if you're not careful.

So just do your best to avoid them at all costs.

Treating yourself - too much.

In other words, doing things that you want to do before doing things that will actually benefit you. Doing unnecessary things before the necessary ones - procrastinating on them.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says There is a time for everything.
There’s a time for everything that is done on earth.

Do the right thing at the right time. I'm not saying you can't treat yourself, you can. Especially after a hard day, or week, or month etc.

Just don't do it too much that you're forgetting to do what's actually important.

And last but not least...

Partying - too much.

I understand that there are some parties in which you can't avoid, i.e. a family party.

And I'm not saying it's wrong to go to one, however if it is the only thing you're doing most of the time then you really need to reassess your life and what's important there.

Also, not all parties are good.

Before you say yes to going to one (that's not a family party or one you can't really avoid) check who else is going or where it is.

Are they good influences on you?

Is the place safe?

What time is it at?

 What time does it finish?

Would your parent(s) or guardian(s) be okay with you going to this party?

Ask yourself these kind of questions, and then some.

Then you can determine if it's worth going or not.

#2 Because its friendship is enmity to God.—James 4:4.

James 4:4
You are not faithful to God. Don’t you know that to be a friend of the world is to hate God? So anyone who chooses to be the world’s friend becomes God’s enemy.

As much as you want to do so, you can't love the God and love the world at the same time.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy when you think about it.

Not loving the world and God at the same time -  actually thinking you can get away with it.

I used to be one of those people.

And realistically speaking, I can't be blamed.

When life goes good for us, or bad, we get so caught up with everything that we forget that this life isn't permanent.

The trials and tribulations of this life don't last forever. But you know what, neither do the good times either unfortunately - whether we like it or not.

I guess the good thing about being dead- and I honestly never intended to bring up death so much. I guess it's just a wake up call that this earth we're on right now isn't our eternal home.

The good thing about being dead is you don't get to suffer anymore. The dead are literally unmoved by the hardships of this life.

1 Timothy 6:7 says as we came to this world with nothing, we will leave with nothing. Because it's true.

#3 Because it did not know Christ.—John 1:10; 17:25.

John 1:10
The Word was in the world. And the world was made through him. But the world did not recognize him.

John 17:25
Father, you are holy. The world does not know you, but I know you. Those you have given me know you have sent me.

Let me tell you something.

The world did not know Christ, but Christ knew the world even before it was created.

It's kind of like Jeremiah 1:5, which says:

“Before I formed you in your mother’s body I chose you.
Before you were born I set you apart to serve me.
I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations.”

See, before God does something, he knows very well he's going to do it.

In the case of Jeremiah 1:5, he knew what we were all going to look like before he even created us.

The things of the world doesn't know God.

Yes, God created the things of the world, but even then he seriously doesn't want us to be attached to it.

This is because he is a jealous God (Exodus 34:14) that doesn't want you to worship any idols except from him (Exodus 20:3).

These idols all come from the world.

I mentioned in this website somewhere and I will mention it again that God doesn't want to be your top God. He wants to be your only God.

He wants to be your #1 priority, respectively - not in competition with other things.

God doesn't want or need to be fighting for a place in your life - he should already be there and he should be at the top.

This is for me too - sometimes I backslide and I forget to make God my top priority.

Even recently though I don't want to get into it, and that's gradually changing. Just know that everybody backslides.

I'm saying gradually because 4 days a week I'm working, so I don't always have time for God. But when I have a day off, I do.

#4 Because it hates Christ.—John 7:7; 15:18.

The people of the world can’t hate you. But they hate me. This is because I am a witness that their works are evil. John 7:7

My disciples, does the world hate you? Remember that it hated me first. John 15:18

Do you know that some people actually hate God?

Yes exactly. Sierra is right, why would anyone want to do that?

I mean, I don't understand why they would. After all, God has never done anything wrong.

He's never betrayed anyone or anything. He's always been there for us even when no one else has.

But yes, like I always like to point out in Galatians 1:10

Am I now trying to get people to think well of me? Or do I want God to think well of me? Am I trying to please people? If I were, I would not be serving Christ.

If you do something that God likes but the world doesn't... it doesn't matter!

Even Jesus had enemies, but he didn't let them stop him from dying on the cross for our sins.

People will talk badly about you, c'est la vie, but just know that it reflects them and not you!  Just rise above your haters and shine.

They normally talk badly about you if you're doing something good with your life and they aren't.

Not that they're not capable, although sometimes they aren't, but because they can't be bothered to work hard and put in the effort to achieve what you did.

Those that try to bring you down are already below you.

High valued people wouldn't never bring someone down just to feel better about themselves. Rather, they lift them up.

Only those with low self esteem or those that are insecure will do the opposite, in the nicest way possible.

#5 Because the Holy Spirit has forbidden us.—1 John 2:15

Do not love the world or anything in it. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.

Love the father, not the world. That's how you can call yourself a true Christian.

Again, this is for me too. This post today was even  for me more than for you guys.

Well that's it for today. Yes this post was longer but I don't mind.

Hope you were blessed and I shall hopefully see you in my Underrated Bible Scriptures - Part 5 page.

Not just that but the remaining 20 reasons on why you shouldn't love the world, split across 4 posts!

Till next time, Bye!! xxx
