I Said You Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' (You Got To Be Startin' Somethin')

Friday 27th August 2021

Time for another post!

Hey!

I've decided to post today because today is my last day off from work so I start again tomorrow.

Never resumed on a Saturday before but what can you do?

In my last post I talked about how your life is your life and nobody can live it for you. Likewise, you can't have anybody else's life either, and you shouldn't want it.

I've said this before on here and I will say it again:

All in all, be happy with the life you have.

If you want to be someone else, just know that if that’s the case then you’re swapping everything you have with everything of the other person.

Do you really want that? I wouldn’t.

How can I be happy with my life when I’m going through the hardest ever time in life?” You might think Think of this way, you’re still alive. Many people aren’t right now. It could even be someone’s last day on Earth today, which they don’t always know about. Someone always has it worse than you. That’s no reason to look down on them though, if you can then try build them up. When thinking of what you are grateful for, never forget life. We take it for granted so much in the sense that we don’t always think about being alive when asking yourself what you’re grateful for.

Excerpt from my Psalms 119 Commentary on the 4th of July, which you can find here

Psalms 119 Commentary - Part 3

Ideally I wanted to update this and my Underrated Bible Scriptures page again.

I'm yet to start Part 5, but unfortunately I just don't think I have the time right now. Next time though I will.

For now though, welcome, and I'll explain why I called or gave this post its specific name later.

I hope you are well, I certainly am well, and sorry this post is late. I've been out and about all week. I wanted to update yesterday but I had to reset my laptop because my battery was bad.

This post is called I Said You Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' and I know I said I'll be going back to the Psalms 119 Commentary and I will, don't worry. I haven't forgotten about that.

But I just want to talk about this first. The title of this post is a song by the legendary Michael Jackson

After doing some research, I finally found out what the song means from Wikipedia:

The lyrics link or pertain to strangers spreading rumours to start an argument for no good reason.

I can link that in a Christian context. Unfortunately people can talk badly about anyone, maybe even more so if you are a Christian.

No, no one is spreading rumours about me, don't worry. I'm also not making any links to the song lyrics, except twice.

So why do people spread rumours?

I mean, I know why. But I'm not always good at explaining things. This website did it better than me, and I got this from there.

Not everything was copied and pasted, although a majority of things were.

Spreading Rumours

Some people spread rumours as a way to intimidate others and gain status or popularity. But spreading rumours as a way to turn people against someone is a form of bullying — and it can have serious consequences for the person doing it.

Spreading unkind gossip in person or online is not a decent or mature way to act. It hurts the person being talked about, and it intimidates other people.

Sadly, when other people see this kind of thing going on, they don't always stand up for what's right.

They may become less friendly to the person who is being talked about because they're afraid of becoming the next target. It doesn't mean they don't care.

In fact, seeing someone else getting bullied makes other people feel bad. Bullying is like meanness pollution. It affects everyone in the environment.

We don't have to be good friends with everyone — or even like everyone. But not liking another person doesn't give someone the right to spread rumours, gossip, or putdowns. Acting like this shows a lack of courage. It's a false way to gain popularity or status in the group.

Long story short, some people spread rumours about someone they don't like to gain status or popularity.

This is wrong - it's just self explanatory.

Plus, even if a rumour about someone is true, that doesn't mean that you should dislike them. Why would you believe a rumour about someone without even knowing the person?

Even if you do, it's not right.

The Bible tells us not to judge others so that we are not judged in Matthew 7:1-2. Speaking of the Bible, I have miscellaneous quotes about spreading rumours.

Ephesians 4:29 - Don’t let any evil talk come out of your mouths. Say only what will help to build others up and meet their needs. Then what you say will help those who listen.

Proverbs 20:19
- A person who talks about others tells secrets. So avoid anyone who talks too much.

Leviticus 19:16 - Do not go around spreading lies among your people. Do not do anything that puts your neighbour's life in danger. I am the Lord.

Exodus 20:16 - Do not be a false witness against your neighbour.

Proverbs 6:16-19 - 16 There are six things the Lord hates.
In fact, he hates seven things.
17 The Lord hates proud eyes,
a lying tongue,
and hands that kill those who aren’t guilty.
18 He also hates hearts that make evil plans
and feet that are quick to do evil.
19 He hates any witness who pours out lies
and anyone who stirs up conflict in the community.

Essentially, what these verses are saying is that you shouldn't lie about someone else, and everything that comes out of your mouth should be beneficial to someone. There's a reason people say that you should think before you speak, with the word think in this scenario being a mnemonic for something.

Before you speak, think. Is it
T - Thoughtful
H - Honest
I - Intelligent
N - Necessary
K - Kind

If it's not, then just don't say it basically. I mean, why would you?

Try to make someone's day, not the opposite. Don't try and destroy it.

Sadly, not everyone thinks before they speak but regardless of this, you seriously don't have to be one of these people. And even though all of the quotes above are important, I'd just like to focus on the last two for a second, and I deliberately made them last.

Exodus 20:16 once again says Do not be a false witness against your neighbour.

The fact that it is part of the Ten Commandments just reinforces how significant it is for you not to lie, or spread rumours about your neighbour. Not just neighbour though, anyone in general.

Even if you are being a true witness against your neighbour, why do you need to be a witness against them?

You don't want people to be avoiding you for not thinking before you speak, I don't wish that on anyone.

Yeah, I don't want people reacting that way when they see you, think about you or when they talk about you. Don't make anyone ashamed of you.

Proverbs 6:16-19 is just a list of seven things that the Lord hates, however for the sake of this post, I'm only going to mention the ones that are relevant to it.
  1. A lying tongue
  2. Hearts that make evil plans
  3. Feet that are quick to do evil.
  4. Any witness who pours out lies
  5. Anyone who stirs up conflict in the community.
Five out of seven of these things (so just over 70% of them) are indirectly about rumours and lying against people.

As already aforementioned, I said that I would mention a small amount of lyrics from the song Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' by Michael Jackson.

I was listening to my Gospel Playlist when I was writing this but I couldn't resist listening to the actual song too. I even had to make a music video for it for an A Level Media project.

So the lyrics that are relevant are...

Billie Jean is always talkin'
When nobody else is talkin'
Tellin' lies and rubbin' shoulders
So they called her mouth a motor

And

You love to pretend that you're good
When you're always up to no good
You really can't make him hate her
So your tongue became a motor

They're not consecutive.

In relation to the first set of lyrics:

Don't talk when it is not your time to talk. Likewise, don't be the first person to start a rumour and don't be involved in it either.

There are many Bible verses out there about talking too much, but for now, let me just mention one from Proverbs.

Sin is not ended by using many words.
But those who are wise control their tongues. Proverbs 10:19

Learn to control your tongue. Talking when no one else is talking isn't bad, but if you're not supposed to be doing so then just save yourself from trouble and don't do it.

Don't tell lies and don't rub shoulders - with the enemy or people that aren't good influences on you.

1 Corinthians 15:33 says bad company corrupts good character and Proverbs 13:20 says walk with wise people and become wise, but a companion of foolishness suffers harm.

I understand that sometimes people that are bad influences on you act as though they're good so as to hide their true intentions. No need to worry though, the Lord will deal with them all in due season.

And lastly, in  relation to the second set of lyrics before I analyse the five verses from my last post...

Don't be up to no good. The type of person you are is the type of people you will attract. You don't want to be attracting people that are so detrimental to your life you literally have to be someone you're not to impress them.

In other words, you can't be yourself.

That's all for now, although in my previous post, I said I will analyse the verses about finding your purpose I used because I didn't have time to do it on the actual post.

I would have done them first but I wanted to do the title first.

Here they are, in order.

Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

This isn't saying that all things will work your way if you love God. There will be days where things don't go your way, but as I almost always like to say, sometimes things not going your way in life could actually be a blessing in disguise. You just don't realise it.

Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Don't love the world so that you will understand what is according to God's will or not. I don't know if I've done an entire post on why you shouldn't love the world, and how, but I will next time.

I'm not postponing the Psalms 119 commentary, by the way. I just have a lot of ideas instead of it, but I will get there. This post was completely planned.

Psalms 138:8
The Lord will fulfil his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.

God's love endures forever, even when we don't deserve him loving us. God will fulfil his purpose for your life all in due season. You just have to be patient. What's meant for you is meant for you and unfortunately, what isn't just isn't. Just because something is good for someone doesn't mean that it's good for you.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

God made us for a purpose, and once we've fulfilled it, that's normally when he calls us home. His purpose for us is amazing, just believe that he will use you for good things.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

God knows what's best. We may not always understand what Jesus is doing (John 13:7) but just trust in his master plan and everything will fall into place all at the correct time.

That's all for now, I will see you next time, hopefully on my next day off from work! Bye and thanks for reading.

I really appreciate each and every single one of you coming here and I will never take you for granted.

This website is also on its way to 1K views! I don't know how many it has, I genuinely don't check and I didn't write this for views, though when I do check out of curiosity (like once a month) I'm always surprised, in a good way!

I love you all so so much.

sings a Gospel Song

♫ All my people in the place
You're looking good with style and grace
But here's my question, listen clear
Where my soldiers?

♫ Say hey!
If you know you keep it tight, say hey!
Where my soldiers at? ♫

Hey, I'm so sorry for the inactivity, but I'm not going to explain why anymore because my reason is justified. I had work.

I haven't posted on this page specifically in 9 days. And even though I have 4 days off again from work - I'm pretty busy. This is more or less the only free time I have. I have one on Friday too I guess, but why wait until then?

As I'm here again, we might as well celebrate.

Like I said, I love the 90s. And Aaliyah was and still is my favourite singer from there.

Yes, I changed the theme again. 😁

I'm just going to leave it like this because this was actually the first ever one I had. Plus I think it's my favourite one.

As you may remember, but it's okay if you didn't, I've foreshadowed this specific post twice on this website already.

On my Underrated Bible Scriptures - Part 4 page...

And on this posts page...

So here we are. Today's topic is called This is Your Life.

It's actually a title of a gospel song I like by my favourite Gospel group and artist called Out of Eden.

And the gospel song I was singing at the beginning of this was called Soldiers by them too.

I have chosen this specific topic today - actually earlier this month but I'm just posting it today - because I can't lie.

I've been wishing to be something that God does not want me to be at all. God has not planned for me to be it.

I've been watching a lot of Netflix lately (I've been backsliding a lot recently to be honest), and I've just been caught up with these actors and actresses on TV. Especially with On My Block, which I've recently finished re-watching.

(Monse - Sierra Capri and Jamal - Brett Gray)

I can't blame myself though, a lot of people want to be on TV.

But that's the thing - I can't act, and I don't want to be on TV because I am a very reserved person. Plus acting is hard work. That's what I had to remind myself when I realised that I was following the wrong path entirely.

God even told me that if he wanted me to be a child actress then that would have happened a long time ago.

We see these people on TV, often not noticing how much hard work it must have taken for them to get to where they are.

And that's one of my biggest flaws. I look through rose coloured glasses a lot.

But isn't that a good thing though? You might ask. You're seeing the positive side of everything.

Yes, although there are two sides to every coin. Most of the time, I'm only focusing on the good. The grass isn't always greener on the other side. Sometimes it is because it's fake, which I don't always take into consideration.

I do struggle with gratitude sometimes although it's getting better. I don't really want to be talking about my personal struggles like that though, but just know that everyone has them. Even Christians.

Some people are just better at hiding them than others.

Luckily, I know my purpose in life after months, if not years of not being able to find it. There are two very important quotes I've read somewhere, and I would just like to share them with you guys.

"There are two great days in life. When you are born and when you discover why."

"If you're not doing anything with your life, then it doesn't matter how long it is."

Don't worry, I'll be getting to Bible Scriptures in a second. Just be patient and bare with me.

With acting, I don't want to be an actress anymore.

Sure, I get to be famous maybe and get to be on TV, although it's a lot of hard work, I'll probably be forgetting all of my lines (especially if I'm a main character to something) and I'll most likely have little to no free time.

It was most definitely not my intention to disrespect anyone who wants to pursue a career in acting or who already has one, by the way. I'm not against it. Go for it. I'm just stating why it's not for me.

God has laid it on my heart to open a nursery when I'm older. And hopefully, within time, it becomes something international too.

I don't really listen to Drake but this GIF was relevant.

Creating a nursery is my purpose in life, and I am going to achieve it by completing my university course in 2024.

It's going to be Childhood Studies aka the study of young children from Ages 0-8.

Some of you may already know what university I'm going to. Some of you don't. For now I'm not revealing it just yet, although I may do so in the future.

But yes. Along with God, the 90s, my family, friends, piano, On My Block and many other things and people out there, babies are another thing I love.

I even visited the nursery I used to work at today.

I love little children. How many children I want is another story for another day, which I don't want to get into right now although I do love babies a lot. I believe I'm good with them too. As long as they're 5 or under.

Making a nursery is my purpose in life. You ultimately need to discover what yours is.

But let me tell you something.

Just because you are good at something does not mean that you have to pursue it as a career. Likewise, there is a difference between a talent and a hobby.

Let me use myself as an example.

Playing the keyboard is most definitely one of my talents. Maybe my only one for now, along with looking after babies, if you could count that as a talent anyway.

Would I ever consider a piano career though?

Probably not. Because I'm very introverted, depending on who I'm with, I only really play the piano at home. Never in public - maybe because I'm afraid of screwing up.

Plus A Level Music was apparently not what I thought it was when I said I wanted to do it. So I heard that it's not really about music. More so the history of music.

I love music but not history.

Drawing, dancing and writing stories / updating this website - those are all my hobbies. I guess I'm talented at them, minus dancing although I see them more as hobbies.

And that brings me to the difference between a talent and a hobby.

The difference between hobby and talent - from this website

Never referred to a link as this website before but there's a first time for everything!

“hobby” is an activity that one enjoys doing in one’s spare time and “talent” is a marked natural ability or skill.

Some things can be both, don't get me wrong. They're not mutually exclusive events.

For example, my piano talent I was talking about.

Just because something is for someone else doesn't mean it's for you. ie like I've been saying all this time. I could never be an actress, but someone else, maybe someone more extroverted and is more comfortable being on TV can.

The same thing can be reversed too - someone out there could hate looking after babies, probably because they may cry too much or because it's too much work but like I said, I love them.

That's why you shouldn't compare yourself to others. Everyone's journey is different.

Also, just because you're moving slower than your friends doesn't mean that you're failing. Besides, slow progress is still progress.

Either way, here are some Biblical references to finding your purpose. These aren't everything, Of course it's not.

Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Psalms 138:8
The Lord will fulfil his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

And then some!

Next post, I'll analyse them.

Or you can just simply read from this website:

As I conclude for today, let's not forget these lyrics from Things We Want By Ramiyah.

You don't have to know the gospel song. Just try to understand the lyrics and hopefully apply it to your life at the same time.

There are things we want so bad
Like a dream we've always had
But what we want ain't always good for us

There are things that may look good
That could be misunderstood
'Cause what we want ain't always good for us

I make reference to this song a lot. And I also mention the fact that some things are better further away than up close a lot as well. Because it is - the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Even if it is, focus on your own grass. As much as you want to be someone else, you can't be.

And you never will be - God made no mistake creating you. You can read Jeremiah 1:5 and Psalms 139:14 for more information on this.

The Bible scriptures I used before mainly say that we should focus on God's purpose for your life.

We may not know what it is but God will reveal it to you one step at a time. Just trust in the Lord at all times and lean not on your own understanding. You can find that in Psalms 3:5. Verse 6 is good too.

That's a wrap for today, I will see y'all later. On Friday hopefully. But lemme not make any promises.

Here is a goodbye dance, and I hope you were blessed reading this as much as I was writing this.

Till next time. Lola xx

Signs of False Prophets (from (Underrated) Bible Scriptures - Part 4)

Sunday August 15th 2021

Blogger removed the date for some reason and it bothered me so I'm doing it myself.

Hello, happy Sunday, soon to be Monday. Are you ready for this post?

Re-watching On My Block because I genuinely think it's my favourite show now.

This was from the Underrated Bible Scriptures - Part 4 page. I didn't realise this until very late though, and I'm not copying and pasting everything here to there.

I posted this on Monday but I started writing this officially on Sunday. Unfortunately, there will only be one post today as it's pretty late here and I am kind of tired. I will try and update again sometime this week but I don't want to promise when exactly.

Unforeseen circumstances may happen.

It's been a while, yeah I know sigh. An entire week to be more specific.

I even missed church today/yesterday because of work, but it's fine because I can catch up. My next Sunday off from work isn't until September 12th really.

So just under a month away.

I'm so sorry for this. I actually wanted to post on Wednesday, as that would have been my last day off before work the following day. But you know, things happened.

My next days off are from Monday to Thursday. I promised myself that I would post today regardless of how tired I am from work.

I wish my posts are as frequent as they were in July but the main reason why I can't be consistent is because of my work hours, which is not within my control.

Last week, I talked about avoiding false prophets. Today, I'm going to talk about signs of them as last time I believed I talked about why you should do that.

And I'm also going to be doing another topic when I come here again as well. It's going to be called This Is Your Life - and how everybody in life has a purpose. Don't wish for someone else's.

After that, then it's back to the Psalms 119 commentary again.

For now, here is why you should avoid false prophets as much as you can. I will be adding some Biblical references as well so it doesn't seem like I made any of this up.

This was from miscellaneous websites, which I will still mention even though I rephrased them.

From Signs of The False Teacher

I tried not crediting the websites as I didn't copy them word for word but I felt guilty so here they are.

There is nothing wrong with speaking well or coming up with sermons, and one of our highest callings as believers is to seek unity among the brethren (Ps. 133:1).

How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in peace! Psalms 133:1

As well as Amos 3:3 - how can two people walk unless they are in agreement?

But when people set others up for destruction deliberately using smooth talk, or they seek unity that does not have truth as its foundation, they are to be avoided, even cast out of the church (Rom. 16:17-18; 1 John 2:19). For the good of the body, false teaching cannot be tolerated.

God is strictly against false teaching, I think I said this before by why falsely prophesy when you can prophesy for real?

continued from same website, but I did add some things. I made this in bold.

Paul's warning about false teachers shows us how to identify them through signs other than the falsehood of the teaching itself.

The first sign the Apostle gives is that false teachers serve "their own appetites."

Literally, Paul says the teachers serve their bellies.

He refers here, via a metaphor, to a lifestyle that reflects indulgence and egocentrism.

Christian teachers are not prohibited from enjoying nice things, but they are prohibited from living pretentiously—from making their pay check a higher priority than God, for instance.

You cannot love both God and money at the same time. 1 Timothy 6:10

You have to choose one, and you have to make it God.

As Paul teaches elsewhere, men fit to be elders in the office will not be lovers of money (1 Tim. 3:1-7).

The second sign of false teachers is "smooth talk and flattery."

This doesn't mean that pastors and teachers aren't allowed to have gentle speech that people find pleasing, for Scripture says that "a gentle tongue is a tree of life" (Prov. 15:4).

What the Apostle condemns is dishonest speech that is hidden by flattering comments and words that praise people for the sake of their approval and not because there is genuine sentiment behind it.

False teachers use words to attract and gain the attention of others not for the sake of Christ but for their own sake.

You know how people say actions speak louder than words? Most false prophets are all talk but they are hardly any action. They say things to attract you, even if it may not be true.

And lastly from 7 Characteristics of False Prophets

The numbered reasons are from there. Everything else I wrote myself. Unless stated otherwise.

1. False teachers are men pleasers.

You can find this in Galatians 1:10 and 1 Thessalonians 2:1-4.

They would rather twist the gospel around to remain popular or to keep their popularity within the congregation than to tell people the truth.

For example, in light of Galatians 1:10, which says:

Am I now trying to get people to think well of me? Or do I want God to think well of me? Am I trying to please people? If I were, I would not be serving Christ.
I already knew what it says but not everybody reading this might.
This verse is essentially saying that we shouldn't strive to please people, but more so please God instead.
This can link to loving the world at the same time - don't do things that the world likes. Do things that God likes, even if it is against the world.
The harsh reality is, you didn't take anything to this world when you first came to it and you won't be taking anything with you when you leave the world either; you can find this in 1 Timothy 6:7. Sadly, we all have an appointed time to die, but it will not be anytime soon in Jesus name.
In Luke 12:13-21, there was a man who just wanted more. He was a rich man whose land had produced a very large crop, wanting to make more space for his crops because he didn't know where to put them.
Unluckily for him, he didn't know he was going to die that same day. So all of his hard work would have been for nothing. Everything he had made wouldn't matter.
Whilst hard work is good, don't depend too much on material things because only Jesus can make you satisfied.

Yes. That's some legit logic right there.
Because it's true.
So false prophets like to men please and love the things of this world. So watch out for them.
The website I used for this had also mentioned Isaiah 30:10, so I will do the same thing.
They say to the seers,
    ‘Don’t see any more visions!’
They say to the prophets,
‘Don’t give us any more visions of what is right!
Tell us pleasant things.
Prophesy things we want to hear even if they aren’t true. Isaiah 30:10
False prophets do the last thing.
I probably won't do all 7 reasons by the way. I will leave 3 of them for the Underrated Bible Scriptures page, as that is where this post is really supposed to be - had I noticed this on time.
2. False Teachers Throw Dirt At Christ's People
The website I used to get these reasons from says
False teachers are known for casting dirt, scorn, and reproach (rebuke/chastisement) upon the persons, names, and credits of Christ's most faithful ambassadors.
Paul, that great apostle of the Gentiles, had his ministry undermined and his reputation blasted by false teachers: 'For his letters'' say they, 'are weighty and powerful, but his bodily presence is weak and contemptible (detestable)' (2 Cor. 10:10).
Or in simpler English:
Some say, “His letters sound important. They are powerful. But in person he doesn’t seem like much. And what he says doesn’t amount to anything.”
They rather condemn him than admire him; they look upon him as a nuisance rather than a doctor.
And the same thing affected our Lord Jesus from the Scribes and Pharisees, who tried to gain happiness or credit over Jesus' expense.
Matthew 27:63  “Sir,” they said, “we remember something that liar said while he was still alive. He claimed, ‘After three days I will rise again.’
Jesus was called a liar by some jealous people in that verse. Did you know that some people in the Bible had actually tried very hard to get some dirt on Jesus?

I know right, it's crazy. But some people actually do that.
Not just with Jesus. In general.
It's actually a lot easier for someone to bring someone else down instead of lift themselves up - which is what most people tend to do when they are jealous of someone. They try to bring them down instead of learning from them as things are apparently "easier" that way.
A lot of people knew that Jesus was flawless, so therefore they had inevitably tried to find some fault with him. Though little did they know that Jesus knew what they were doing each time.
I have some Biblical references of people trying to find fault with Jesus, which I will not mention now as it was very late when I posted this. But I will most definitely do so the next time I come here.

3. False Teachers are Driven by Their Own Heads and Hearts

That's probably what most of them do come to think of it.

They check that they look good before they preach, perhaps even all of the time.

I'm not saying it's wrong to check your appearance. But if you're worried more about that than the gospel you need to preach to someone then there is most definitely a problem somewhere.

The website says... which I rephrased as it didn't really make sense when I posted it.

False teachers are driven by the devices and visions of their own heads and hearts.

Then it mentioned 2 verses in Jeremiah, which I will talk about right now.

Then the Lord said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them. I have not even spoken to them. Everything they tell you about their visions or secret knowledge is a lie. They pretend to bring you messages from other gods. They try to get you to believe their own mistaken ideas. Jeremiah 14:14

The Lord who rules over all says to the people of Judah,

“Do not listen to what the prophets are saying to you.
They fill you with false hopes.
They talk about visions that come from their own minds.
What they say does not come from my mouth. Jeremiah 23:16

I'm sure there are some prophets out there in this world whose visions are just golden delusions, lies and hypocrisies, and dead fantasies. Things that will never come true.

These people are used by Satan the most, so you really have to watch out.

I'm not sure if false prophets can be saved or if there is still hope for them. If there is, then they need to do some serious repenting.

There could actually be a preacher out there who you think is good... had they not been a false prophet.

You should still pray for them (Matthew 5:44b says pray for those who hurt you) so that they can become better prophets.

And last but not least for today, number 4.

4. False Teachers Pass Over the Law and the Gospel for Other Things

The website said these verses, and now I quote them...

Suppose someone teaches something different than I have taught. Suppose that person doesn’t agree with the true teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ. Suppose they don’t agree with godly teaching.

Then that person is proud and doesn’t understand anything. They like to argue more than they should. They can’t agree about what words mean. All of this results in wanting what others have. It causes fighting, harmful talk, and evil distrust.

It stirs up trouble all the time among people whose minds are twisted by sin. The truth they once had has been taken away from them. They think they can get rich by being godly.

1 Timothy 6:3-5

You say that people should not commit adultery. But you commit adultery! You hate statues of gods. But you rob temples!

Romans 2:22.

This verse is essentially talking about how false prophets are mainly hypocrites, and it couldn't be more correct.

Not all false prophets are hypocrites, mind you. But they'd probably twist the truth around. i.e. they would tell you that it is okay for you to love both God and the world at the same time.

The earth groans to bear them, and hell is fitted for them. Romans 8:22

We know that all that God created has been groaning. It is in pain as if it were giving birth to a child. The created world continues to groan even now. Romans 8:22

And I'd just like to quickly bring up Jeremiah 45:5 even if the website  I used didn't mention this.

"So should you seek great things for yourself? Do not seek them. I will bring trouble on everyone,” announces the Lord. “But no matter where you go, I will let you escape with your life. ”

False prophets like to seek great things for themselves.

Not just them. Mots people in general. Don't be like them, please.

God doesn't take back his gifts or change his mind about those he has chosen (Romans 11:29), no. In fact a song I was listening to when I wrote this sentence said I don't wanna love nobody but you (you being God) and it's true.

Praise God because he gave you your gifts, so never take them for granted as they can be taken away from you at any time, though essentially God wouldn't let that happen.

That's it for today, it's approaching 2am!

I came home from work at about 830Pm ish, had to do some things and got to writing. As I missed church due to work, I guess I started writing on a Sunday to make up for it.

But I will still catch up.

Have a lovely rest of the week - we are also officially halfway through August! Praise God for that. So many people started this year with us but they didn't finish it.

I'll see you when I see you!
